| Frequently Asked Questions |
| |
| We feel a moral obligation is to find
our babies the best homes, so don't hesitate to ask any
question that isn't answered here. The only bad question
is the one you didn't ask. Please know that we will be
there for you during the purchasing process and while the
puppies get adjusted to their new homes. And feel free
to contact us anytime for as long as you need. We like
to keep up with the puppies. Kay and Earl |

Is it OK to call you to find out the availability of a
puppy?
Yes. In fact, we encourage you to call us! We like
to take some time to speak directly with each person that
is looking for a puppy to help match a puppy with its new
family. We welcome your calls at PH:870-449-5741. Puppies
are available for sale until a deposit has been placed on
them. At no time will we reserve a puppy without a deposit.
If a puppy is put up for sale, we will never change our mind
and decide to keep it after it has been offered to you. |
| |
Do you take reservations for puppies?
Yes, we accept reservations
for puppies on a very regular basis. Just contact us and
we can give you the most up to date information and answer
any questions you may have. We may not always have openings
for immediate reservation of the breed, color, gender or
disposition you may be wishing to acquire, as we have no
sure way of knowing what each litter will produce until the
time of its arrival. However, our puppies are often reserved
at a very young age or even before they're born. Females
tend to be reserved faster than males. If we don't already
have a puppy that is what you're looking for, it would be
a good idea to put a deposit down to hold the next available
puppy based on your criteria. We will let you know when a
suitable match is born, and if one is not born within your
expectations we will refund your deposit. We only accept
a limited number of deposits on puppies that have not yet
been born. |
| |
How do I choose a puppy?
Before your puppy is born, you
will get to see several photos of the parents-to-be. Once
the litter is born, I will send you lots and lots of photos.
I spend many hours with my puppies so I will be able to give
you an idea of what kind of personality each puppy has. You
will see them from day one, when they look like little rats.
I will also send you photos at least once a week. Choosing
a puppy you like is not hard. The hardest part is that you
have to choose only one!! I will help you in any way I can
to ensure you get the puppy that is best suited for your
lifestyle. |

What payment methods do you accept and how do I get my
payment to you?
Due to the many scams around these
days with master" counterfeiters,
we are unable to accept the former forms of payment. We accept
Credit cards, etc via direct bank -wire transfer into our bank
account and Western Union Money Transfer ONLY. We have examples
of counterfeit cashier's checks, money orders, checks, traveler's
checks, etc. we have had every form possible now. We call
and verify any of these before we even go to the bank. It is
too bad for the people who cashed, spent, sent the puppy, big
losses. For them I am so empathetic. In order to raise babies
the way we do it is expensive. We do not make anything on the
pups if we added our time into it. We breed for the love of
the breed only! We accept deposits that vary based on the price
of the puppy. NONE OF THESE DEPOSITS ARE REFUNDABLE ;
due to the fact that while we are holding this puppy for you,
we are losing other sales that would have happened while the
puppy was little. Once your deposit is received
, and the litter is born you have 2 weeks to choose your puppy
before any of the litter can be reserved by anyone else.
After the two weeks the choice becomes public choice. You will
not need to pay the remaining balance until the puppy is ready
to be shipped/picked up/delivered. Any puppy picked up at our
home must be paid for in cash. No other form of payment will
be accepted. No puppy will be shipped or sent until the payment
in full is received. We encourage you to check references.
This is important for any breeder and buyer. There are more
scams out there than we can shake a stick at. No matter
whom you purchase a baby from, be Careful. |
| |
Do you require contracts to be signed
for the sale of a puppy?
The contract is to protect you!
It is your decision if you want a signed contract or not.
Your guarantee and all that is involved can be verbal
or email. This is your decision. |
| |
Do you ship Puppies?
Yes, we ship our babies based on what is
safe for them based on the temperatures, etc. We land deliver
if it is too hot or cold. We prefer to fly if it is safe
for the baby. Shipping and handling is $400.00 which includes
the flight ticket, the acclimation certification, the USDA
health Certification, the crate, etc. |
| |
Are your puppies AKC registered?
Yes, our babies are AKC
registered. The parents are DNA screened by AKC for
proof of parentage. Pet, Show, and Breeding rights contracts
are available. |

Which is better -- a male or a female puppy?
Although many
people like the little females simply because that is all
they have ever owned, males most often make the better family
pet. They are not as independent as a female, nor do they
have the moods that the females seem to go through. |
| |
Should I have my male puppy neutered?
There are pro's and
cons to this issue and is based on preference. I suggest
you speak with your vet-- and make an informed decision based
on the many facts pertaining to this issue. Of coarse the
breeder, and show babies are never spayed nor neutered until
retired by preference. Male babies will do, what
you let them do, just like female babies.. Boy babies do
not spray if they are taught not to. They are my personal
favorite house dog. They are much more devoted and a lot
less trouble in my opinion. They are much more eager
to please, and all Shih Tzu's wear bows in their hair. We
have many happy owners that have never had any problems
with their male and female babies. Some neutered/spayed
,and some not. The health re-percussions are the main issue
for your baby and will guide your ultimate decision They
are wonderful family pets and/or companions either way. |
| |
What should I feed my puppy?
Your puppy needs quality puppy
food and fresh water close to him or her at all times. We
will send a weeks supply of the food that your puppy has
been accustomed to with your puppy. We recommend that if
you do not plan to use the same food, you make the change
to your high-quality puppy food gradually. 'You will receive
a 24 hour; hour by hour schedule of activities, feeding guidelines,
potty guidelines, and vocabulary ,upon purchasing your new
baby ; that is individualized . Each one is different
just like children. |
| |
How often should I give my puppy a bath?
Give your puppy
a bath only when he smells or is dirty. Be careful not to
get water in his ears. We recommend putting cotton in his
ears while you're bathing him. Keep shampoo from getting
into his eyes too. Dry your puppy immediately so that he
doesn't get chilled and catch a cold. |
| |
How often should my puppy get a checkup?
In order for the guarantee to be valid the puppy must see
a veterinarian within 72 business hours/3 business days.
Your Veterinarian will guide you as to how often and/or
what your new puppy
needs. Please be sure and take your health record, that comes
with your puppy ,to the veterinarian with you so they will
know where to start. On the back of this record you will
find the shot labels and the dates given, as well as the
diet regimen that the baby is on in our home. Be sure you
follow your veterinarian's recommendations. Giving
your new family member this extra care will return itself a
hundred fold ; not only with low veterinarian bills,
but longevity and health of your baby. |
| |
What shots will my puppy need?
Your
baby will come with a completed, current health care form
that will show you and your vet-- what your baby has had
in the realm of healthcare. Your vet-- will guide you from
there as to what else the baby needs, and when. Be sure
you complete the vet--'s recommendations to keep this wonderful,
healthy gift from God happy and healthy; living a long
life of happiness for both of you. "Jesus
said; What ye do to the least of mine, ye do to me" |

What is the truth about the Imperial
or Tiny Teacup Shih Tzu?
Here is an exert from the Imperial
Myth written by the American Shih Tzu Club. "The terms "imperial and "tiny" have
been used interchangeably when describing undersized Shih
Tzu. This is not what the American Shih Tzu Club (ASTC) and
the American Kennel Club (AKC) recommend and accept as a
true representation of the breed. The myth of the "imperial:
or "tiny teacup" Shih Tzu is just that, - A MYTH." |
